The Tale of the Prisoner, The Tyrannical King and the Kind Cat

If you fancy a journey to Boxley which I advise, as it is a place rich with history sitting as it does on the Pilgrim Way. You can park outside the church and enjoy some lovely walks up onto the North Downs. You might also like to settle down in the Kings Arm Pub which is opposite the pub.

If you want to have a look at Allington Castle then I suggest you get married and hire the place out. Otherwise what you could do is wander down the path which connects Maidstone to Aylesford along the river. Before you get to the Malta Inn you can catch a site of it through the trees on the opposite bank.

If you are interested in this topic and frankly why would you not be then why not read some of these works.
